Our Founder, Greg Romero, is an accomplished problem solver with a lifelong understanding of family businesses. He leverages his balanced strengths as a strategist, operator, and change agent to help small- to mid-sized (SMB) family businesses identify, plan and execute upon value creation opportunities in an ever-evolving business landscape.
Greg grew up in a family-owned and operated commodities business (expanded here). More recently, Greg spent 5 years successfully running a separate family manufacturing company in the consumer goods space. As President & VP of Operations, he transformed many facets of the organization while simultaneously designing and executing a value-maximizing exit strategy for family shareholders just prior to the pandemic (expanded here). Greg built his foundation of problem solving, strategy, planning and execution at Morgan Stanley in high-impact internal consulting and operator roles.
Greg is a proven leader across professional, philanthropic and academic settings. He holds his MBA from New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a specialization in Strategy and Finance. Greg lives in the Greater Boston area with his wife, Barbara, and two young children.
